Obituary for Marion Barrasso (Carbone)

Marion Barrasso, 95, of Greenbriar I, Brick passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Barrasso worked as a dress designer for many years. She was the owner / operator of La Boutique Bridals in Bloomfield before retiring many years ago. She was the matriarch of the family as well as an adored grandmother and cherished great grandmother and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Born in Harrison she grew up in Kearny and lived in Bloomfield before moving to brick 32 years ago.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Alessio Barrasso in 1988 and by her parents Gerard and Mary Carbone as well as her brothers and sisters. Surviving are her daughters Anne McCloskey of North Carolina, Alberta Infantolino and her husband Dr. Philip Infantolino of Brielle, and Donna “Candy” Verona and her husband John Verona of Montville; 4 grandchildren Joseph Infantolino and his wife Joanne, Nicole Sabato and her husband Michael, Dena Sarullo and her husband Benjamin and Jacqueline DeMarco and her husband Christopher and 9 great grandchildren Alexandra Sabato, Anthony Sarullo, Michael John Sabato, Brielle Sarullo, Alivia Sabato, Luca Infantolino, Jake DeMarco, Faith DeMarco and Payton DeMarco.
Visiting will be on Tuesday from 4-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home 505 Burnt tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday 9:30am at St. Denis RC Church in Manasquan. Entombment will follow at St. Catharine’s Cemetery in Sea Girt. Donations may be made in her name to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540.
