Obituary for Joseph Edward DiPadova

Joseph Edward DiPadova
On the early morning of Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 Joseph E. DiPadova, 59, “Jet ski Joe” of Neptune died suddenly as a result of a tragic car accident. His passion and love was the water. Joe lived his life to the fullest. He loved sailing, surfing, jet skiing, and spending time with his friends. On a beautiful day one could see Joe biking to the beach, jumping curbs, and always enjoying the “ride”. He loved his annual trips to St. John USVI and could not wait to show everyone his photos and videos upon his return.
If you knew Joe, you know the term “Joeybuilt”, as he always had a project going on at his home or helping others. If something was “Joeybuilt”, you knew it was strong enough to last forever. Joe loved to learn and loved even more to impart his wisdom onto others. Joe’s lessons and passion he shared will remain with us all, ensuring we are and will always remain “Joeybuilt”.
Joe was a respected employee at Reddaway Manufacturing in Newark, NJ. He was not only Vice-President, but also boiler operator, and overall fix-it man. Joe spent the last year cleaning up after Hurricane Sandy, determined to get the plant running so everyone maintained their job.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Robin. You could always see them together out on the town with those who love them close by. He would do anything for his “my honey” as well as their adoring pets. Surviving is his Father, Anthony DiPadova and stepmother Jeannine of Lady Lake, FL, Brother Art and Pam DiPadova of Haddonfield, NJ, Sister Carol and Ben Byrnside of Holden Beach, NC, Sister Susan Davis of Claremont, NH, Sister Mary DiPadova-Garcia of Deland, Florida, Brother Anthony Jr. and Judy DiPadova of Claremont, NH and Sister Ann & Dave Perrotta of Youngsville, NC, a step-son Daniel Ludwig, multiple nieces and nephews and countless friends. Joe is predeceased by his Mother, Eileen Redfern DiPadova.
Visitation will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35, Wall, NJ, on Friday, April 11th from 3pm -8pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. Rose Church in Belmar. Funeral procession begins at 9:15am at O’Brien Funeral Home.
Donations in Joe’s honor can be made to Shore’s United Relief Foundation (S.U.R.F) at www.shoresunited.org or one of the many local charities.
