Cherie Lorraine Gess, 59, of Lakewood, N.J. passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, N.J.
Born in Englewood, she resided in Ocean Township before moving to Lakewood three years ago. Cherie was a homemaker. She was an avid animal lover, and adored her two dogs and two birds.
Cherie was predeceased by her father, Clinton Main, who died in 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Richard T. Gess, her two sons and their spouses, Matthew and Tierney Park, Tinton Fall, N.J. and Christopher and Krystle Park, Bartlett, Tenn. Her mother, Renee Main and her brother and his wife Scott and Diane Main, Ocean, N.J. Cherie was the loving grandmother of Logan, Mason and Mckenna Park. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35, Wall, N.J. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Committal will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA, Wall Street, Eatontown, N.J.
