Obituary for Antoinette Adinolfe (Gimelli)

Antoinette Adinolfe (nee Gimelli), 90, of Wall, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on April 12 at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Born in Jersey City in 1923 to Vincent and Maria Gimelli, "Annie" beamed when she recalled the kinder gentler days of her youth. She told stories of seeing Gone With the Wind at the movie theater for a nickel and hanging out with her girlfriends at Journal Square.
She worked tirelessly as a custodian for the Jersey City School District for many years and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City.
She adored game shows, especially Jeopardy!, but her main love was her family.
Left to cherish the memory of her kind smile and words of encouragement are her children, Ralph Adinolfe, Phillipsburg; Madeline Pratt-Burton (Wayne), Williamstown; Janet Brennan (Thomas) Wall and Alan Adinolfe, Elmwood Park; grandchildren Donna Adinolfe (James), Willingboro; Brian Adinolfe (Dawn), Concord, N.C.; Ryan Brennan (Michele), Tinton Falls and Desiree Adinolfe (Ricky), Carlstadt and great-grandson, Mason Brennan, Tinton Falls. She also is survived by a brother Tony Gimelli.
She is predeceased by her sisters Linda and Lucy.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 4-8pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Route 35, Wall, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Catharine's Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
