Obituary for Stanton E Ulmer

Stanton E. Ulmer, 92 passed away peacefully on Saturday, July, 26, 2014 at home just a day before his 93rd birthday. Mr. Ulmer was a senior technician at Bell Labs in Newark before his retirement. He was a US Navy Veteran during WWII from 1942-1945 where he received 3 air medals. He was a member of the VFW in East Orange and in Holiday City in Toms River.
Born and raised in East Orange, he has been a resident of Ocean County for the past 25 years.
Mr. Ulmer was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia (Miller) Ulmer in 2009. Surviving are his son, Carl Eric Ulmer and his wife Anita of Neptune; sister, Cornelia “June” Kolarich and her husband Thomas of Lancaster, PA. He also leaves his 2 grandchildren, Carl and Stanton.
A memorial service and military honors will be conducted at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ at a later date. Mr. and Mrs. Ulmer will be scattered at sea by the US Navy in Norfolk VA also at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to a charity of choice.
