Obituary for Andrew F Virga Jr.

Andrew F  Virga Jr.
Andrew F. Virga, Jr., 64, of Brick, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2014 at home surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late Andrew Sr. and Lena Virga, he attended St. Francis College and was a dedicated brother of the Pi Alpha Fraternity. After graduation, Mr. Virga went on to work as a banker for many years, most recently working for the United Bank of Kuwait, in New York City. Andrew was a parishioner of St. Dominic’s Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, of Epiphany R.C. Church, and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan who enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 41 years, Judith Glowacz Virga, his loving children, Andrew Virga, III and girlfriend Jenn with her son Fury, Michael Virga and wife, Emily, and Danielle Strain and husband, William, his cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Lena, and Lucianna, and his dear brother Dennis Virga, wife, Annette, and their children Dennis, Dalainna, and Jillianne.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 4pm-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am on Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Dominic R.C. Church, Brick, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Andrew’s memory to Ocean Medical Center Foundation, or the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
