Obituary for Vivian W. Meserlin (Wood)

Vivian W. Meserlin 91, of Sea Girt, NJ died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at her home. Born in Orange, NJ to Raymond Wood and Evelyn Osborne Wood. Vivian graduated from Orange High School in 1941 and the Berkeley School East Orange, NJ in 1942. She lived in West Orange, South Mantoloking and Sea Girt for the last 41 years. She was a member of St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt and a member of Barnegat-Tennent Chapter DAR for over 30 years. Vivian loved her bridge games with her many friends, enjoyed swimming, walking the boardwalk and biking. She was a lover of animals especially her cats.
Vivian was married to Joseph A. Crone who preceded her in death in 1976, and was married to Robert B. Meserlin who died in 2005. She was also predeceased by her sister Barbara W. Fineran.
Vivian is survived by her 2 nephews; Charles A. Fineran of Great Meadows, NJ, Kenneth Fineran and his wife Marie of Millburn, NJ, her niece, Susan Fineran and her husband Craig Herb of Medford, MASS, a grand niece Kathleen Mason. She also leaves her great grand nieces/nephews; Elijah Fineran, Isaiah Mason, Jayda Fineran.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 9:30 AM at St. Mark’s Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt, NJ. Burial will follow in St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Wall. Funeral under the direction of O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall. For more information or to send condolences please visit www.obrienfuneralhome.com.
