Obituary for John J Dryburgh

John J. Dryburgh, 94, a longtime resident of Livingston, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2014. Born in Newark, he raised his family in Livingston and was a former resident of Forked River, before moving to Brick five years ago. Mr. Dryburgh proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He went on to work as a Tool and Die maker for over forty years. He was a member of the V.F.W. and enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sophie Hrycyshyn Dryburgh in 2011.
Surviving are his loving children, Joan Olden, and Michael and Janice Dryburgh, his dear grandchildren, James Olden (Marie) and Robert Olden (Maureen), and his three great grandsons Samuel, Jake, and Evan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 10-11AM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM at Church of the Epiphany, Theil Road, Brick. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Barnegat.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to the King of Kings Community Church, 1000 Main Street, Manahawkin, NJ 08050
