Helen Mackey Chadwick, 89, of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Born in Putnam, Connecticut, in 1925, she grew up in Elmhurst, Long Island, and moved to Neptune in 1957. After the death of her husband, Robert J. Chadwick, in 1985, she moved to Spring Lake Heights where she resided until her death.
Her great joy was in being a grandmother to five fine grandchildren: Shawn, Steven and Kelsey Chadwick of Neptune and Thomas and Robert Chadwick of Moorpark, CA. She also took pleasure in playing bridge with friends and was an avid reader. She was a member of St. Catharine’s Catholic Church of Spring Lake.
In addition to her grandchildren, she is survived by her sons, Richard Chadwick and wife Cynthia of Moorpark, CA, and Mark Chadwick and wife Linda of Neptune, former daughter-in-law Nancy Chadwick and granddaughter-in-law Audrey Chadwick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 from 5-8pm followed by a Funeral Service on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 9:30am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Interment will be in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
