Obituary for Harry Trotter

Harry Trotter, 87, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully on December 18th 2014 at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York; he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Trotter went on to devote 34 years as a Police Officer in the New York City Police Department, and was a member of their Honor Legion and Ceremonial Unit. Harry had resided in Point Pleasant for the past 24 years, and would spend his winters in Ft. Myers, Florida, with his beloved wife, the late Patricia Trotter. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn and Ft. Myers, as well as the Elks Lodge in Point Pleasant and Ft. Myers. He enjoyed the quality time spent creating memories with his cherished family and dear friends
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia Sullivan Trotter in 2007
He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister-in law, brother in-law, nephews, nieces, and extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 23rd at St. Martha’s R.C. Church, Point Pleasant. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.
