Cathrine Ann "Ann"  Cardinal
Cathrine Ann Cardinal, 78, of Brielle, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015. She will be remembered by her children as a loving mother, and by all whose lives she touched as a kind and generous friend.

Mrs. Cardinal (nee Johnson) was born and raised in Asbury Park. She lived in Spring Lake for many years before moving to Brielle 20 years ago. After raising her children, Mrs. Cardinal resumed her education, graduated from Brookdale College School of Nursing, and became a Registered Nurse at age 49. She then spent many years providing health care to seniors, at various facilities including Laurelton Village and Geraldine Thompson Care Centers.

Mrs. Cardinal was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Agnes (Singleton) Johnson, as well as by her brothers, Robert, Gerald and Richard Johnson. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Gayle and Thomas Hadley, Chris Cardinal, and Cheryl and Scott Bois, as well as by her step-sons, Bill Cardinal and John Cardinal and his wife Viola. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Hadley, Camrynn, Cathrine and Carolyn Bois, and Kasia Cardinal. Mrs. Cardinal is also survived by her partner and best friend, Mr. Aadu Rein.

Memorial visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Monday, January 26, 2015, from 3-6 P.M. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on WEDNESDAY, January 27, 2015, at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Cardinal’s memory may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E. Ohio St., Ste. 304, Chicago, IL 60611.
