Gloria M. (nee O’Brien) Christenson, 90, of Spring Lake Heights, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel.
Gloria was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, before moving to Spring Lake Heights many years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine Catholic Church, Spring Lake, NJ, and belonged to SCAMP (St. Catharine Association of Mature Persons).
Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Charles T. and Mary Lillian Buelow O’Brien, and by her husband James F. Christenson, who died in 2006. She is survived by many nieces and nephews
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, NJ, on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 2-5 P.M. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine’s Church, 215 Essex Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ, on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 10:30 A.M., followed by interment at St. Catharine Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria’s memory may be made to St. Catharine’s Church.
