Obituary for Vito Joseph Campanelli

Vito Joseph  Campanelli
Vito J Campanelli, 89, of Piedmont Court in Brick, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep on Feruary 23, 2015. Born in Vauxhall NJ to Joseph and Margaret Campanelli and brother to Margaret, Concetta, Angelina, Alphonso and Teresa. Vito served his country during WWII in the 78th Lighting Infantry Division. He saw action in the Battle of the Bulge and in the Battle of Remagen. He later enlisted in the Air-force and served as a military police officer in Nice France. He continued his service as an active member of the VFW No. 20 in Brick NJ and helped with the Morning Coffee Hour at the Brick Veterans Clinic. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea, he is survived by his sister, Tessie; his son, Craig; and many devoted nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30am on Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Rosa Lima Church in Milburn followed by a private memorial gathering. Burial of cremains will take place privately at the NJ Veterans Cemetery in Arnytown. Donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project.
