Obituary for Richard R. Karpinski

Richard Ronald Karpinski, 85, of Point Pleasant Boro passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2015 at his home. Mr. Karpinski was a machinist for Conrail Railroad Company in Newark before retiring. He was a dedicated worker in the train industry for over 40 years and was a past president of the Machinist Union of New Jersey. After retirement, Mr. Karpinski donated and consulted for Allaire State Park steam engines.
Born and raised in Jersey City, he moved to Point Pleasant in 1964.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor Nancy (Madzi) Karpinski in 2013; parents, Boleslaw and Kasmira Karpinski; one brother; and six sisters. Surviving are his sons, Richard R. Karpinski, II and his wife, Samantha, Eugene G. Karpinski and his wife, Eve and David C. Karpinski; grandchildren, Ricky and Tara Bembridge and David C. Karpinski II and Rebecca Lee Karpinski; as well as great grandchildren, Justine and Autumn Sanborn and Amanda Bembridge.
All services will be held privately under the direction of O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick. Final entombment will take place 1pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at St. Catharine’s Mausoleum in Sea Girt. For more information or to send online condolences please visit www.obrienfuneralhome.com
