Condolences

Condolence From: Robin Woods
Condolence: Gene & Dave, Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your dad. I always enjoyed both your mom & dad at John & Elaine's and when they came to vote. It's hard to lose them but take heart. We are told by St. Paul,"to be absent from the body is to be present with the Father." So we know that they are both in the presence of Our Lord, together, and that we will see them again among those around the throne of God. My prayers are for all your family.

Condolence: Oh my heart goes out to your family. Though your loss can seem unbearable, take courage, you are not left alone. Psalms 46:1 says, God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress. And remember that God hates it when one of His children dies (Matthew 18:14, 1Corinthians 15:26). So He makes Himself available in order to comfort us. In fact, 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 refers to Him as the "God of all comfort". Pray to Him for strength to get through this most difficult time. Weep to Him when the words just won't come out. He will really help you (Isaiah 41:10) because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). And please, call upon His name found at Psalm 83:18.
