Griffin James  Thoma
Griffin James Thoma, 17 of Sea Girt passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick with his loving family at his bedside.
Griffin was a well-loved and special young man who had a unique impact on the lives of those who had the privilege to know him. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Sea Girt and a student at The Riverview School in East Sandwich, MA. As a resident of Sea Girt, he was a Communicant of St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt.
Griffin is survived by his devoted parents Jim and Laura Thoma, his sister Danielle and his twin brother Charlie, his paternal grandparents Bob and Ann Thoma of Sarasota, Fla. and his maternal grandmother Josie Pitcher of Denville, in addition to his many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom loved him very much.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday April 30, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Mark’s RC Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt. Please go directly to the Church on Friday morning as there will not be a procession from the Funeral Home. Private Burial will follow the Mass.
In lieu of flowers Griffins family requests donations to Embrace Kids Foundation, The Edith & Martin Stein Building of Hope, 121 Somerset St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Donation envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home on Thursday.
