Obituary for Frank Carroll

Francis “Frank” Carroll 92, of Whiting, NJ died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. Born and raised in Newark, NJ Frank lived there before moving to Whiting 28 years ago. Frank proudly served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War. He earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He loved baseball particularly the New York Yankees. Frank was a loving father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife Bernice Carroll in 1988 and his 6 siblings. Surviving is his loving son; John F. Carroll and his wife Lynn of Wall, 2 grandchildren; Melissa and Jason, a niece Rosemary McCarthy of Newark, NJ and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visiting will be Thursday, May 28 from 6-9 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A service will be held during the visiting at 8 pm at the funeral home. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Wounded Warrior Project @ www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
