Obituary for Francis W. "Frank" Piotrowicz

Francis “Frank” W. Piotrowicz, 55 of Bradley Beach and formerly of Jersey City passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.
Frank was a graduate of St. Peter’s Prep and St. Peter’s College, both Jersey City where he enjoyed a stellar career on the football team. As a Jersey City resident he was a Communicant of St. Anthony’s Parish. He relocated to Bradley Beach 12 years ago and was a Communicant of the Church of the Ascension.
He was a well know salt water fisherman along the Jersey Shore and fished on many of the party boats at the Belmar Marina. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and traveled to see them at Lambeau field every season with his family. He was also a huge fan and follower of the Grateful Dead traveling all over the country to see their concerts.
He was predeceased by his father Edward in 1971. Frank is survived by his beloved mother Veronica Rakowicz Piotrowicz of Bradley Beach, his siblings, his sister Terry Wasko and husband Thomas of Allentown, Pa., and his brother Richard Piotrowicz and wife Patricia of Brightwaters, NY, Frank’s nieces and nephew, Meghan, Richard, and Katelyn and his grand niece and nephew Luke and Alice, and a host of many cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ 07719. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 10:00am at the Church of the Ascension, 501 Brinley Ave., Bradley Beach, NJ 07720. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.
