Obituary for Joseph DiMatteo

Joseph DiMatteo, 68, of Brick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at his home. Mr. DiMatteo worked for many years in the construction industry.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from Lafayette High School. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War, earning him the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, among others.

Surviving are his loving wife, Paula Giambro DiMatteo, sons Joseph and Paul, daughters Laureen and Dana and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick, New Jersey on Monday, August 24, 2015, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 25th at the funeral home, followed by burial at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey, at 12:30 PM.
