Obituary for Emma Mary Brown (Klett)


Emma Mary Brown, 68, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2015. Born in Montclair to the late Frances and Lillian Klett, she was a former longtime Bloomfield resident, before moving to Manchester ten years ago.
Emma worked for Seton Hall University’s human resource department before her retirement. She was an amazing cook who was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her friends knew her as a big-hearted woman whom they could go to for a lively chat and sympathetic ear. Her children knew her as a sweet and gentle mother who worked tirelessly to safeguard their health and education.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 45 years, Richard Brown, her loving sons, Richard Brown, Matthew Brown and wife Debbie, Joseph Brown and wife Adrienne, and Paul Brown and wife Melissa, her dear brother Frank Klett and wife Sophie, and her six cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Jake, Daisy, Willow, Aidan, and Madeline.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, November 23rd at St. Dominic R.C. Church, Brick. Interment will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood
