Obituary for Rita Theresa Bryson (Luma)
Rita Theresa Bryson, 63, of Brick passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Ms. Bryson worked in the medical billing department at Ocean County Medical Lab in Brick for many years up until her passing. She also worked at the Wawa in Ramtown where she had met many incredible friends over the years.
She was born in Newark, grew up in Edison and lived in Howell before moving to Brick 19 years ago.
Ms. Bryson was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Rita Luma; and by her daughter, Tiffany Bryson in 1989. Surviving is her daughter, Katie Bryson of Brick; brother, Walter Luma and his wife, Kathleen of Jackson; sister, Theresa Pipolo and her husband, Frank of South Plainfield; as well as many nieces, Susan, Victoria, Jacqueline, Tracy, Jennifer, Erin, Dawn; and nephews, Christopher, Adam, Anthony, Evan, Greg, Keith, and Doug.
Visiting will be on Friday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday at Epiphany RC Church, Brick. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia. Donations may be made in her name to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Foundation.
