Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Frances Willms can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Frances A.  Willms (Butterwei)
Frances A. Willms entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2016. She was 99 years old.

Born in Newark, NJ to the late August and Lillian Butterwei, she resided in Newark, Hillside, Spring Lake, Brick, and lastly Tinton Falls. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters in Spring Lake, active in Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, a Red Cross first aid instructor and a volunteer in the Hospice program at Jersey Shore. She retired from Steinbachs as a buyer after 25 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Herman A. Willms in 1993, brother Richard Butterwei, sister Margaret Gingrich, infant grandson Robert P. Fisher Jr. in 1969, David Bojarzian in 2001, and Brendan A. Willms in 2015.

She is survived by her five children: Frederick H. and his wife Betty of Wayside, Arthur D. and his wife Marie of Longs, South Carolina, Carl F. and his wife Patricia of Wall, two daughters Joan Fredericks of Tennessee, and Arlene Prast and her husband Walter of Cheshire, Connecticut. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, February 15 from 4 – 8 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Route 35, Wall, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10 AM at Holy Innocents Church, Neptune, NJ. Burial will follow in St. Catharine Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Serenity Hospice, 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
