Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Colbert can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Stacy Shanks-Kohler
Condolence: Rich was truly a unique, kind and patient man. He had a talent to talk with and find common ground with anyone he met (Sinbad being the exception, forgive me Rich for mentioning that). He had a love for so many things. In tennis, his go-to move was to lob the ball and although annoying, it was a great strategy! He found peace in nature and loved walking around the Manasquan Reservoir. His pride of being from NY was known to all. He loved his Yankees and his hometown friends whether they were CEO of National Geographic, guidance counselors or firemen. His love of laughing apparently got him kicked out of his Catholic High School as Rich would love to tell the story. His love of the ocean (and family vacation home) brought Rich to the Jersey Shore and he had fun, outrageous and fond memories of his Belmar lifeguard days. But most importantly was the care and concern Rich had for his students and family. Taking care of his father came naturally to him and they had many a laugh. Rich had a special bond with his daughter that he cherished. The sun rose and set on her and he could not have done more to show that to her. I hope he passed knowing this. He was an amazing father and that was the one role that he most cared about. Forever remembered... I can still hear your laugh...
