Lillian Peterkin Mareno 85, died peacefully in Neptune, NJ on June 25, 2016. Lillian was born in New York, NY to Renee and Bella Ayala. Lillian’s home was the gathering place for family and friends to come and enjoy the pool and taste her delicious cooking. She loved having her family around and considered them “her medicine”. She was young-spirited, with a zest for life and a great sense of humor.
Lillian is survived by her husband John, four children and their spouses; Renee (Steve) Clearman, Kathy (John) deLarosa, Jim (Debbie) Peterkin, Barbara (Jimmy) Paternoster, eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, 10:30 AM at Holy Innocents Church, 3455 W. Bangs Ave. Neptune, NJ. All are welcome to attend . A celebration of her life will follow at 12:00 at the Spring Lake Manor, 415 Rt. 71 Spring Lake Hts., NJ 07762. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA of your choice.
