Allen R.  Cierpik
Allen Richard Cierpik, 77, of Manasquan, NJ died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Jersey Shore Univ. Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Allen was a 1959 graduate of the Admiral Farragut Academy of Pine Beach, NJ. He served in the US Navy on the mine sweeper, Swerve, until his honorable discharge in 1962. While in the service he saw active duty at the Bay of Pigs. After serving, he returned to Manasquan to work in the electrical contracting business of Allen M. Cierpik, Inc. with his father. The business was established by his father in 1930. After his father's Allen's death, he continued to maintain that business until his death. An avid fisherman he had re-established the Surf n' Sea Fishing Club of Manasquan and was the President of same. He also enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling and continued to fish the northern Lake George area where he and his family vacationed. Surviving is his beloved wife of 51 years, Marjorie Andrews Cierpik; three daughters; Stephanie Heinley and her husband Michael of Manasquan, Heather Wiseman and her husband Thad, of Manasquan, Deborah Egan and her husband Sean of Kennebunk, ME. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Colin, Brenna, Reilly, Timothy, Jack, Thad and Makenzie. Allen was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to the ALS Foundation, ASPCA, or the charity of your choice. O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall in charge of the arrangements.
