Joan M. Trione, age 84, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home. She was born and raised in Manasquan, NJ and is the daughter of the late Leander and Mary Ruf Martin. After more than 30 years, Joan retired as an admired school bus driver in Brick Township. She was affectionately known as "Mrs. T". She also spent many years as a badge checker at Jenkinson's, where she enjoyed meeting all the beach goers.
She is predeceased by her beloved son, Peter Trione, her big brother, Roy Martin, and her precious great-granddaughter, Samantha “Sammy” Ventresca. She is survived by her adoring daughters; Deborah Gormley and her husband Dennis, Linda Trione, Teresa Trione, and Petrice Nicoles and her fiancé Anthony Pascucci, her sister Mary Jane Pearce and her husband Clyde, and her brother Bill; ten loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Tonya, Melissa, Chrystal, Jason, Evan, Ashley, Kody, Zack, and Emma; and six amazing great-grandchildren, Matilda, Sadie, Liam, Harry, James, and William. Joan lived a rich and full life with her family and friends who she loved deeply. She enjoyed staying up late playing Phase 10 with her kids and grandkids. Joan had fond memories of going to the beach with her sister and her husband. She also loved taking trips to Atlantic City, especially her yearly birthday celebration with her daughters. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 6-7:30 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, NJ, 08724. A celebration of her life will follow at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity or to two close to Joan's heart; arthritis.org in honor of her great granddaughter, Sadie Ribot; or to homefrontnj.org in memory of her great granddaughter, Samantha "Sammy" Ventresca.
