Barbara Ann Kyle, 87, of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016.
Mrs. Kyle (nee Brindamour) was born in Queens, NY, and grew up in New Market, NJ. She raised her family in Berkeley Heights and later resided on Chadwick Beach Island before moving to Spring Lake Heights 20 years ago. Mrs. Kyle was a Girl Scout leader in Berkeley Heights and an accomplished artist and art teacher who specialized in oil painting. She was also active in community theater in New Providence. Above all else, Mrs. Kyle was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Kyle was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas R. Kyle in 1997, as well as by her sister Patricia Grogan. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Norm Watkins of Bedminster, NJ, and Janey and Clay Ashworth of Queensbury, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kylee Watkins, Danielle and Dorian Baker, and Jena and Benn Hart, and her great-grandchildren, Casey and Tyler Hart, as well as nephews and nieces. The family wishes to acknowledge Bill Strack, Mrs. Kyle’s loving companion of 12 years.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, NJ, on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4 – 6 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Rose Church, Belmar. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.
