Obituary for Gertrude E. Stell (Kramer)
Gertrude E. Stell, 89, of Brick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Mrs. Stell was a wife and mother who loved to cook and care for her family. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching as well as taking a walk on the Sea Girt boardwalk.
Born in Papenburg, Germany she came to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, NY. She lived in Passaic and Wayne before moving to Brick in 1998.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Hermann Stell in 2001 and by all of her siblings. Surviving are her son, John Stell and his wife, Cindy of Nutley; two daughters, Helen George and her husband, Gregory of Crozier, VA and Iris Giuffre and her husband, Ignazio of Colts Neck.
Visiting will be on Friday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday 9am at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
