Obituary for Anne Crines (Costello)

Anne Costello Crines, of Spring Lake, passed away peacefully in her home on January 18th surrounded by her loving family. Anne was born on July 5th, 1929 in East Orange, New Jersey. She graduated from East Orange High School. She married her husband James and they raised their eight children in Spring Lake, New Jersey. Anne had a successful career in banking, retiring after 30 years as a Vice President for Bank of America. Anne was a parishioner at St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake.

Anne was predeceased by her husband James in 1999. She is survived by her eight children and their spouses. Karen and Linus Rhoades of Spring Lake, Susan and Thomas Burrus of Spring Lake, Amy and Thomas Szymanski of Spring Lake Heights, James and Karen Crines of Spring Lake and Marco Island, Fla., Michael and Joan Crines of Wall Township, Robert and Karen Crines of Brielle, Stephen Crines and his partner Karen Ali of Spring Lake, and Elizabeth and Joseph Capone of Spring Lake Heights. In addition, she leaves 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Jonathan and Tarin Rhoades, Catherine, Patrick, Jillian, Stephanie Rhoades, Lindsay and Jack Burke, Anne and Joseph Mele, Thomas Burrus, James, Matthew Szymanski, Ian, Shane Crines, Brianne and Dane Stephenson, Collette, Micaela Crines, Kelly Crines, Carolyn, Chloe Crines, Michael, Christopher, Catherine, and John Capone, Gavin, Oliver Rhoades, and Jack Burke. Anne also leaves her many beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous lifelong friends.

“Sweet Anne” will always be loved for her devotion to family, love of life, and the kindness she showed to everyone who crossed her path.
