Stephen Alan Leonard Sr. 70, of Brick, NJ passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Born in Exeter, NH, Stephen lived in Jackson, NJ before moving to Brick 14 years ago. He served 2 tours of duty in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Xerox after more than thirty years of service as a Technical Representative in 2012. Stephen was a member of Brick Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed model trains, Nascar races, western movies, and collecting clocks. He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents; John and Marjorie Leonard. Surviving are his beloved wife of 14 years Lynn Johnstone Leonard, his children; Stephen A. Leonard Jr. and his wife Eileen of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Matthew Logan of Philadelphia, PA, Jody Ann Sabo of Miami, FL, Don G. Sabo and William Sabo of Jackson, NJ. He also leaves his grandchildren; Cora, Emma, William, Steffi, Zach, Luke, Jaclyn, and Samantha, and brother Russell Leonard and wife Wanda of Florida.
Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., at Rt. 70 Brick, NJ. A funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 AM at the funeral home, followed by 1PM burial in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 132 W. 32 St. New York, NY 10001 or Brick Presbyterian Church, 111 Drum Point Rd., Brick, NJ 08723.
