Kathleen nee Philbin Farrell, 100 of Wall Township passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Sunnyside Manor, Wall.

Born and raised in Bayonne, she was a Communicant of St. Mary’s Parish. She then resided in Westfield from 1962 until moving to Wall Township in 1984. As a resident of Wall Township she was a faithful Communicant of St. Rose Church, Belmar.

Kathleen was the proud owner of the Emily Kay Bridal Shop for many years and also worked as a manager for Hahne and Co. before her retirement.

She was predeceased by her husband Francis X. Farrell in 1988, and her her sons Francis and John Farrell who passed away as babies.

Kathleen is survived by: her 2 devoted daughters and their spouses: Kathleen and Robert Hammond of Wall Township, and Eileen and Ray Guertin of Rancho Murieta, CA; her sister, Rita Dziedzic of Jackson, her grandchildren and their spouses: Sharon and John Clarke, Robert Hammond, Douglas and Sue Hammond, Michelle Hammond and Stefania Tomas, Ellen and Bill Moe, Dennis and Jennifer Guertin, Ethan Guertin and Bethanne and Frank Sally, and her 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 9:00am to 10:30am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Rose Church, 603 7th Ave., Belmar, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington privately.

In lieu of flowers the family specifically requests donation to the Alzheimer’s Association (Greater NJ Chapter) 400 Moris Ave, Suite 230, Denville, NJ. Envelopes will be available at funeral home on Tuesday.
