Jeffrey Raymond Murphy, 61, of Farmingdale, NJ died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Irvington, NJ, Jeffrey moved to the Jersey Shore in 1966, living in Spring Lake, Brielle and recently Farmingdale. Jeffrey owned and operated Murphy Paving Company, Farmingdale, NJ.
Jeffrey was predeceased by his beloved mother Dorothy Murphy. Surviving are his loving son, William H. Murphy of Farmingdale; his father, Henry Murphy of Spring Lake; his three brothers, James Murphy of Washington D.C., John Murphy of Ocean Grove, and Jerry Murphy and his wife Donna of Jackson; and his nephew Brian Murphy.
Visiting will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 12 - 4 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 AM at St. Catharine Cemetery, 1100 W. Chicago Blvd., Sea Girt.
