Elaine  Noonan
Elaine Noonan, 81, formerly of Old Bridge, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
Mrs. Noonan (nee Tammaro) was born and raised in Brooklyn. After marrying Joseph J. Noonan, they lived in Palisades Park, and Old Bridge, where they raised their family, as well as Jackson, Millstone and Monroe. Mrs. Noonan actively worked at and supported her family’s transportation business, in addition to being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to attend her sons’ and grandsons’ football games, and never missed a Notre Dame football game on TV. She enjoyed taking her family to the beach and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Mrs. Noonan is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Joseph J. Noonan, and her children and their spouses, Joseph and Lisa Noonan, Shrewsbury, Ray and Beth Noonan, Millstone, Lori Slason, Swedesboro, and Greg Noonan, Ridley Park, Pa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Raymond Ralph Noonan, and his wife Christine, Michael Scott Noonan, Sean Patrick Noonan, Christopher Joseph Noonan, Brittany Noonan, Ryan Noonan, Tyler Noonan, Joseph Paul Slason, Kaitlin Marie Noonan, and Matthew Joseph Noonan. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Isabella Grace and Raymond (RJ) Noonan, and her sister, Doris Monte, of Ca. Mrs. Noonan was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Tammaro.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, from 4-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake, on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 10:30 AM. Private committal will take place at the N.J. Veteran’s Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Noonan’s memory may be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
