Obituary for Gary A Jenssen
Gary A. Jenssen, age 63, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born and raised in Somerville, Gary lived in Colorado for four years and has lived in Brick for the past 34 years.
Gary was a member of the Brick Elks and American Legion. He sang for many years with the band “December.” His greatest joy was spending time with his loving grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen Jenssen; his sons, Josh Jenssen and his wife Krystal, Brenden Barnes and his wife Tara and Eric Barnes and his partner Michelle Copp; his brother, Lloyd Jenssen; his Uncle Arthur and Tante Kathy; his two grandchildren Addison and Andrew and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick with a Funeral Service being held at 7:45 p.m. Cremation is private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, kidney.org or 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
