Obituary for Paul Edward Saunders

Paul Edward Saunders
Paul Edward Saunders, 83, formerly of Spring Lake and Delray Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, Paul went on to serve in the Merchant Marines. Upon his return, he graduated SUNY Maritime College and then Fordham Law School. He worked in NYC in corporate law and was general counsel for McGraw-Hill and Ziff-Davis Publishing before starting his own practice in NJ. His love of Spring Lake brought Paul and his family to the shore, where he could often be found spending time with his children and their friends. While a devoted fan of both the NY Giants and the NY Mets, his deepest devotion was to his beloved family. He will be dearly missed.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Grace; his grandson, Billy Egan; and his sister, Grace Kelly-Bast. He leaves his wife Clarita, and eight children – Jeanne Egan of Spring Lake Heights, Mary Wheeler of Delray Beach, FL, Peggy Warner & husband George of Wall, Grace Mehrizi & husband Dave of Easton, Maryland, Helen Wexler & husband Daniel of Delray Beach, FL, Paul Saunders of Boca Raton, FL, John Saunders of Chatham, NY, and Clare Saunders of Delray Beach, FL. He also leaves seven grandchildren – Matthew, Neil, Annie, Megan, Kayla, Joseph, and Emmett; a great grandson, Miles; and many loving relatives and friends.
