Richard W. "Chop"  Rose
Richard “Chop” Rose, 82, of Neptune, passed away suddenly on October 3rd, 2017. Born in Elizabeth, Dick served his country in the US Army before returning to his beloved wife Lois (nee deWysocki) and his family. Chop loved to golf and spend time on the beach, and while his favorite places may have been Avon beach and Hilton Head Island, his most cherished times were always those spent with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Chop was predeceased by his sister Patricia Brandt and his brother Ronnie Rose. He leaves his devoted wife, Lois; daughters Jackie Landers (Kevin) of Interlaken and Suzanne Torres (Robert) of Neptune; sons Richard Jr. (Nancy) of Neptune and Dan (Eileen) of Wall; his beloved grandchildren – Erin, Hannah, Jeanne, Danny, Jack, Mia, Lola, and Oscar; and many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Friday from 2-4 & 6:30-8:30pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1201 Asbury Ave, Asbury Park, on Saturday at 10am, with entombment to follow at St. Catharine Mausoleum, Sea Girt.
