Obituary for Joseph H. Kressman

Joseph H. Kressman, 89, Longtime Livingston resident and now residing in Wall, N.J., passed away with his loving family at his side on Weds Oct 4, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt, NJ. Committal will be private. Joseph was born in 1926 in Orange, N.J., and resided for many years in Livingston, N.J. He had resided in Wall since 2004. Mr. Kressman served honorably in the military at the end of WWII and then again from 1954-1958. Mr. Kressman attended Seton Hall University on A ROTC scholarship where he graduated with an accounting degree Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Kressman worked as a CPA for many years for Hasken & Sells, Walter Kidde, BASF, Beneficial and Catholic Relief services. Mr. Kressman was a Commander of American Legion Post 201 Livingston for many years and a past Commander of the Essex County Organization of the American Legion. Joseph is survived by his wife, Gloria Acosta Kressman of 31 years; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Robert Maddox of State College, Pa., and Helen Toomey of West New York, N.J. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and -nephews, and many loving cousins.
