Joseph E.  Bernocco
Joseph E. Bernocco, 69, of Raleigh N.C., formerly of Wall, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017.
Mr. Bernocco was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Wall before moving to Raleigh in 2014. He was a graduate of Wall High School and Point Park College. He had a long and successful career with JCP&L which later became First Energy, before retiring in 2014. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed working outdoors.
Mr. Bernocco was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth in 2015. He is survived by his daughters, Julie Elizabeth Dillard, and Lori Marie Schlachter and her husband Steve, all of Raleigh. He is also survived by his four granddaughters, Madilyn Elizabeth Dillard, Sophia Grace Schlachter, Aubrey Lynn Schlachter, and Annabelle Kay Schlachter, all of Raleigh. Also surviving are his siblings Deborah Warner of Westfield, N.J., Michael Lane and his wife Patti of Toms River, N.J., and Scott Lane and his wife Denise of Brick, N.J. as well as nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 4 to 8PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 A.M. followed by burial at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duke Cancer Center, 20 Duke Medicine Circle, Durham, NC 27710.
