Obituary for Doris V. Lewis (Ivany)

Doris V. Lewis, 86, of Brick passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Laurelton Village Nursing Home in Brick. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She was a dedicated member of the First Assembly of God Church in Freehold.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Corona, Queens, NY and lived in Newfoundland and Old Bridge before moving to Brick in 1975.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Philip Lewis in 1978; son, John David Lewis in 1960; and also by her triplet brother, Whitfield Ivany in 2012; and triplet sister, June Gardner in 2014; as well as her sister, Jean Baylies in 2009. Surviving are her sons, Peter Whitfield Lewis of Jackson, Philip B. Lewis and his wife, Marjorie also of Jackson, and Paul David Lewis and his wife, Jean of Howell; daughters, Ruth Locklin and her husband, Stewart of Brick, and Valerie Durkin and her husband, John also of Brick; sisters, Ruth Winstead of Pendleton, IN and Elizabeth Williams of Jackson; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren as well as an expectant great grandson any day now.
Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. The funeral service will be on Thursday 10am at the First Assembly of God Church, 272 Jackson Mills Road, Freehold. Burial will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
