Maura Belmont, a long-time resident of Bradley Beach, died peacefully on Thursday the 25th of January at the age of 80. Maura is survived by her daughter Toni McEwan and son-in-law, Russell McEwan, their daughters Kaitlin, Heather and Emily; her daughter Laura Kelleman and son-in-law Harry Kelleman, their son Matthew; her son Michael Belmont and daughter-in-law, Amy Belmont, their children Anthony, Julia, Jacob and Anise; her son Paul Belmont and daughter-in-law, Susan Belmont, their children Hope, Christian, Faith, Grace, Mercy and Josiah; her son John Belmont and daughter-in-law, Yuka Belmont, their daughters Noel and Finn; her sister Kay Doyle, and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Maura was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Belmont, sister Carmel and brother Donal. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Maura moved to the United States on July 14, 1962, where she met and married the love of her life, Michael Belmont. Together with their five children, they traveled extensively and enjoyed life’s bounties. After Mike passed unexpectedly, Maura relocated from Freehold to Bradley Beach, where she enjoyed her home, parish life, and being close to the ocean. Maura enjoyed socializing, spending time with family and reminiscing about her beloved Ireland.
