Obituary for Alan Michael Giannone

Alan Michael Giannone, 62 of Wall Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune from complications of Covid-19.
Alan was born and raised in Bloomfield, where he lived until moving to Wall Township over 20 years ago.
He had been a Senior Water Repairman for the Township of Bloomfield until his retirement, and had worked for Elgerly & Gibson Oil Co.
Alan was described as having a heart of gold. He had an infectious personality and always “knew a guy who knew a guy”. His sister Betty said it best, “he probably knew somebody on the moon”. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Alan was a diehard sports fan, rooting for the Jets, Mets, Boston, and loved to watch NASCAR.
He was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Pauline (nee Richinelli) Giannone.
Surviving is his devoted wife Rosemarie (nee Mercuro) Giannone, his 2 beloved sons Michael R. Giannone and fiancee Tracy Thompson, and Matthew D. Giannone, his brother Anthony Giannone Jr, his sister Betty Kulesa and husband
Lenny, his mother in law Carmella Mercuro, brother in law Fred Mercuro and wife Pam, and sister in law Camille Duca, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Celebration of his life will be scheduled for a future date.
