Alberta J. Merse, age 90, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hoboken, NJ, Alberta resided in Ridgefield, NJ before moving to Pt. Pleasant, then Neptune 35 years ago.  Prior to her retirement, she worked for Gammon Technical Products as a data entry clerk for 15 years. Alberta loved the Yankees and the Giants. In her spare time in the summer, she enjoyed spending time by the pool chatting with her neighbors and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Raynor Walter Lambert and her second husband, Lawrence Merse, and her sisters, Joan DeBenardi and Lorraine Wiesing. Surviving are her children, Cristian Lambert, Raynor Lambert, and Gregg Lambert (Denise), her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lambert and Gregg Lambert, nephews Geoff Wiesing (Jane) and Tyler Wiesing, and niece, Casey-Jane Wiesing.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM with a funeral service being held at 7:30 PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall, NJ 07719. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 605 4th Ave, Bradley Beach, NJ 07720.
