Alice B. Dolan, age 63, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at home in Point Pleasant Beach.  Born in New Brunswick, Alice was raised in Westfield, and has resided in Point Pleasant for the last 41 years. 

Alice’s natural calling was to be a mother to her four beautiful children. Before motherhood, Alice taught kindergarten, first, second and fourth grades.  Later, she obtained her counselor certification and helped improve so many other lives.

Alice was an avid reader, enjoyed meeting friends for coffee, and loved taking walks with her dogs.  She also loved the beach and spending time in the sun.  Undoubtedly, Alice’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family and friends. Alice had a special niche for decorating, fashion, and always taking the time to make life special for all of those around her.

She is predeceased by her father, Thomas E. Grandell.

Surviving are her loving children, Matthew P. Dolan and his wife, Nikki, (with grandchildren, Sophia, Stella, Max and her soon to be granddaughter); Katlin K. Dolan; Michael J. Dolan; James C. Dolan and his wife, Gabrielle; her beloved mother, Angela T. Grandell; her loving partner, Alan; her brother, Dave Grandell; her sister, Laurie Breiner; her cherished dogs, Maddie and Tate; and so many close friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall, NJ 07719.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, July 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake followed by the interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
