Obituary for Anne Claire Vincent

Anne Claire Vincent, age 94, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at her home. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Anne was raised there and in Roselle Park. She and her husband resided in Cranford and raised their children there. Since 1957, Anne and her husband spent weekends at the Shore in Spring Lake, where her parents resided. She and her husband moved to Spring Lake, full-time, in 1986. Prior to her retirement, she worked as the bookkeeper at Suburban Golf Club in Union, New Jersey. Anne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan and Cranford and the Brielle Women’s Club. She enjoyed playing golf with her husband and with the Bel Aire Babes at Bel Aire Golf Course.

She lived a life of family and grace. She was a devoted wife, caring daughter, loving mother and adoring and doting Nana.  Family was everything to her. Her husband, Ray, was the love of her life. He affectionately called her “Red”. She was an elegant, kind and gracious person whose favorite phrase was “This too shall pass”. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna Zavalidriga, her son, Jeffrey R. Vincent, and her brother, Stephen Zavali. Surviving is her daughter, Leslie S. Vincent, her daughter in law, Debby D. Vincent, and her grandchildren, Jeremy R. Vincent and Jacqueline A. Golding. She is, also, survived by her niece, Jolene Cozzolongo, and her nephews, Jay Zavali and Richard Zavali.
