Obituary for Anthony Francis Colao

Anthony Francis Colao, 94, of Spring Lake, NJ passed Monday, April 25, 2022, at home. Born in North Bergen, NJ, Anthony grew up in Brooklyn, NY and Cliffside Park, NJ. He graduated from Cliffside Park High School before joining the US Army.  He married Anne Cherry Quinn in 1954 and settled in Cliffside Park, where they raised their four children.   Anthony graduated NYU Business School as a CPA and went on to become President of Joseph Froggatt and Co., before joining Coopers Lybrand, now Price Waterhouse Coopers, as a partner. He then joined Old Republic International as Senior Executive and Member of the Board. Tony, as he was called, and Anne retired to Spring Lake, NJ thirty years ago. He was an active parishioner of St. Catharine Church, a member of the Knights of Malta, and Spring Lake Golf Club. He was one of the original members of The Poker Gang (over 65 years!) and so enjoyed his Friday night card games with “the guys”. He loved the Mets and Jets and watched every game.
