Anthony Joseph Loftus, 58, of Elmira, NY and Belmar, NJ died unexpectedly on Monday, February 21, 2022. Tony was born on January 30, 1964 in Point Pleasant, NJ.

He was raised in Belmar, NJ and attended St. Rose Grammar School, Belmar and Asbury Park High School. Tony worked at the Spring Lake Golf Club for many years. He also worked for the Borough of Bradley Beach. Tony later moved to Elmira, NY with his family.

Tony was a sweet charming guy. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. Tony was pretty funny and made people laugh. He had a kind heart and wanted to make people happy. We all have our favorite memories we shared with him - he was always up to something. He was best described as being predictably unpredictable - he always kept us guessing.

Tony loved his children Kirsten and Ryan and his grandsons Anthony and Corbin.

Tony was predeceased by his parents Frank X. and Claire K. (nee Kelly).

Surviving are his son Ryan Loftus, and his fiancé Kayla Sheppard: his grandsons Anthony and Corbin; his daughter Kirsten Loftus, and her partner Salina Barnett. Tony is also survived by his brother Michael Loftus, and sister-in-law Anne; his brother Joseph Loftus, and his sister-in law Donna; his sister Marianne Kruthers, and his brother-in law George; his brother Frank Loftus, his sister-in-law Jenée, and his sister Claire Bormida, and his brother-in-law Kevin. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

The Loftus family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 9:30am before the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Rose Church, 603 Seventh Avenue, Belmar, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.
