Obituary for Anthony A. Riccardi Jr.
Anthony A. “Chat” Riccardi Jr., 86, of Jersey City, NJ, died Friday, March 12, 2021 at Atria, Tinton Falls, NJ. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Chat was a lifelong resident. He and his 2 brothers founded Knights Auto Body, Jersey City, and ran it for over 50 years. Anthony was an avid golfer and boater, spending time in Florida.
Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Helen Riccardi, his parents, Anthony and Mildred Riccardi, and a brother Joseph Riccardi. Surviving are his brother Louis Riccardi and his wife Olga, his children, Rachel Addonizio, Anthony Riccardi and his wife Sophia, Christopher Riccardi and his wife Dawn, Robert Riccardi and his wife Sheila, Gregory Riccardi, and Matthew Riccardi. He also leaves 15 grandchildren, Thomas and Gabrielle Addonizio, Elena and Lucas Riccardi, Merissa, Christopher and Lindsay Riccardi, Michael and Thomas Riccardi, Emma, John, Joseph and Nina Riccardi, Christian and Siena Riccardi and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 18, 2021, 10:30 am at St. Catharine Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake, NJ. The mass will be live-streamed and is available by visiting the following link: https://venue.streamspot.com/93d8764d.
Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthony’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
