Arthur Paul Giacobbe, 69, of Wall passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.  Mr. Giacobbe retired in 2018 as a workers compensation claims manager at Munich Reinsurance in Princeton, New Jersey.  Arthur was a graduate of LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. 

His hobbies included bird watching, reading and bowling. Arthur also was a wine connoisseur and sports enthusiast.  His favorite teams were the New York Football Giants and the New York Yankees.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his beloved pets.

Born in Long Branch, Arthur grew up in Fair Haven and lived in Point Pleasant before moving to Wall 32 years ago. 

Mr. Giacobbe was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Marie Giacobbe.  Surviving is his loving wife of 37 years, Gail (Vastbinder) Giacobbe; daughters, Lauren Barbieri and her husband, Angelo of Hamilton and Elise Reiss and her husband, Brian of Brick; sisters, Claudia Ackerman and her husband, Ernest “Buddy” of Palm Harbor, FL and Christine Redman and her husband, Travis “Dutch” of Florence, VT; as well as his grandchildren, Sienna and Dominic; and his faithful companion, Riley. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Arty.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4-7pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall.  Additional viewing will be on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a prayer service at 10:30am.  Burial will be at Old Tennent Cemetery in Manalapan.
