Audrey C. Acquaviva, 89, of Jackson Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at The Willows in Holmdel. Mrs. Acquaviva was a secretary for the Jackson Township Board of Education before retiring in 1992. She was a graduate of Englewood High School where she was a former cheerleader and ran track.
She loved trips to Atlantic City and spending time at the beach as well as watching baseball and football, especially the New York Yankees and New York Football Giants. She also had a deep love for all types of animals. Audrey was known for being the “life of the party” and her incredible sense of humor. In High School she was voted both “Most Popular” and “Best Dancer”. Her family enjoyed many of her well known “Audrey-isms”.
Audrey was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank J. Acquaviva in 2012; and by her parents, Michael and Louise Natusch.
Surviving are her sons, Gary C. Acquaviva and Carol of Howell; Frank M. Acquaviva and Lori of Brick; daughter, Karen J. Acquaviva of Sea Bright; and two grandsons, William and Michael.
Born and raised in Ridgefield. She later resided in Hoboken, before moving to Jackson Township in 1962, where she resided for 51 years. She also was a member of the St. Veronica RC Church in Howell.
Visiting will be on Wednesday, October 7th from 5-8 Pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall Twp. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 PM in the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
