Obituary for Carol F. Sweeney (Sweeney)
Carol F. Sweeney 59 of Spring Lake Hts., NJ died Monday, March 9, 2020 at Sunnyside Manor, Wall. Born in Galesburg, IL, Carol grew up in Franklin Lakes, NJ and moved to Spring Lake Hts. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake. Carol enjoyed the beach, trips to Atlantic City and attending concerts and running in the Spring Lake 5, which she did until 2014.
Carol attended Bryant College in Rhode Island, after graduation she began her career with J.P. Morgan in New York City, NY until she retired as Vice President of Risk Management in 2014.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, James and Phyllis Sweeney. Surviving are her longtime companion Jerry Oriscello, her 2 sisters Mary Maziarski and her husband John, Cathy Patterson and her husband Bob, 6 nieces and nephews, Anthony and Emily Maziarski, Katie Binder, Paula and John Patterson and Jodie Joy. She also leaves her beloved dog Elly.
Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2020, from 2-6 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 14, 2020, 10:30 AM at St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake. Committal will be private.
